Pre-Conference

Administrative and Financial Officers Special Interest Group (AFO SIG) Program

Fee: $350; $300 with full conference registration. Pre-registration required; registration includes lunch and Saturday’s AFO-SIG programming.

Saturday, July 19: 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
The Administrative and Financial Officers (AFO) SIG program is designed for administrative and financial officers, as well as other AACP participants interested in key administrative, financial, and leadership issues that influence the operations of colleges of pharmacy. This program will provide participants the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions regarding creative partnerships, fiscal operations, and other areas of responsibility within the Finance and Administration role, as well as hot topics in the world of finance and operations.  


2025 AACP Admissions Workshop

Fee: $475; $425 with full conference registration. Fee includes two breakfasts, two lunches, two morning beverage breaks, and two afternoon snack breaks. Pre-registration is recommended.

Please join us for the 2025 AACP Admissions Workshop in Chicago! We invite all administrators, faculty, and staff who play a role in recruitment, admissions, retention, and student affairs to this two-day event. The goal of the Workshop is to provide attendees with the opportunity to learn and network, so the academy can collectively promote the profession and respond to challenges facing pharmacy education. Workshop sessions highlight how institutions are leveraging emerging or innovative technologies to enhance prospective student experiences and streamline admissions processes; learning creative marketing strategies to reach diverse audiences with budget-friendly tactics; and finding ways to boost yield with tactics such as improving interviews and engaging with school counselors. Plus, don’t miss our recruitment showcase, featuring hands-on, interactive activities during this show-&-tell roundtable event. Don’t miss this exciting and engaging experience!

Teachers’ Seminar: Back to Basics

Fee: $399; $299 with full conference registration; Students $149.

Teacher’s Seminar 2025: Back to Basics is aimed at equipping pharmacy faculty with fundamental essential strategies for course design, teaching effectiveness, and workload management. Morning sessions will introduce evidence-based strategies for engaging students, structuring courses effectively, and balancing academic responsibilities, while the afternoon workshops provide hands-on opportunities for faculty to apply new techniques in real-time. Participants will explore Universal Design for Learning to structure courses, leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and streamline workload management and develop strategies for fostering authentic engagement with students. Sessions throughout the day will focus on three themes:

  • Fundamentals of Effective Teaching [Backward Design and Engagement]
  • Course Design Essentials
  • Faculty Fundamentals: Strategies and Tools for Faculty Workload Management

Session title: Elevating Scholarship of Teaching and Learning: Keys to Academic Publishing Success
Session description: Please join us for the 2025 DiPiro Workshop in Chicago! We invite all faculty who are eager to elevate their Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) efforts to join us. This half-day workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to explore different types of SoTL research questions, study designs, and effective strategies for preparing data for publication and presentation. Participants will have the unique opportunity to interact with renowned editors and Editorial Board members from the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education (AJPE) and other experienced scholars in this area, who will share invaluable insights and tips related to SoTL. We encourage all participants to bring a SoTL-related idea or project to develop throughout the workshop. Don’t miss this chance to enhance your SoTL skills and connect with fellow educators passionate about advancing teaching and learning in pharmacy education!
