The Academic Affairs Committee shall be concerned with the intellectual, social and personal aspects of pharmacy education. It is expected to identify practices, procedures, and guidelines which will aid faculties in developing students and preparing them for the workforce.
The 2025-2026 Committee will be larger than usual, with two separate subcommittees, each led by a different Vice Chair. One sub-committee will continue the Committee’s work on competency-based pharmacy education (CBPE) to support the implementation at colleges and schools of pharmacy as specified in the 2024-2026 AACP Strategic Plan and the new ACPE Standards 2025. The other sub-committee will seek to develop coaching models for student outcome achievement.
